Potential Life Saving Tips for Running, Jogging or Walking:

Make yourself visible, consider reflective gear.

Run facing traffic, keep eye contact especially at the intersections.

Limit your own distractions, if you are running with ear buds turn the volume low, consider using one ear bud.

Run with a buddy, or your dog, if neither avail let someone know aprox how long you will be.

Take your phone, make sure its charged.

Run during the day, easy way to reduce injury or being assaulted.

Be unpredictable, mix things up on your route.

Be a bad target,  take a self defence course.
